| Posts in regards to Chiabella |

Leahalani had worked her way through Darnassus after her informant had told her had seen Chiabella pass by the bank. She had been about to give up, heading for her favorite spot at the temple when she stopped in disbelief. There, hidden in the garden was Chia and another. She waited till their backs were turned, catching on small glimpse of conversation about demon and danger, and then snuck amongst the bushes. Then, she listened.
Chiabella inhaled deeply, pausing to consider the information before continuing, "What else did you learn?"
For a moment, the Paladin did not answer but instead fumbled through the bushes. He then leaned over and whispered something to Chia. Leahalani grew uncomfortable but she dared not move. Suddenly, Yaerius pulls something from his pocket and whips it straight at the Kaldorei's head. Leahalani barely dodged it in time. Knowing she was discovered she stepped forward boldly.
Chiabella looked at her in surprise. "What are you doing here?"
Leahalani answered. "Looking for you!"
The paladin eyed her suspiciously. "If you're a friend, why are you spying on us?"
Leahalani gave him back just as suspicious of glance. "I am cautious of chia's friends..many are not nice." Her tone was matter of face. Leahalani took a breath, for she knew she was on very thin ground.
While the paladin and Leahalani exchanged words, Chiabella watched Leahalani very closely, eyes unblinking. Leahalani made sure her hands were well away from sword or bow.
The Paladin was having none of her tone nor manner. "What reassurances can you offer that you are not one of those....not nice...friends?" He pressed, suspicious filled the air.
Leahalani thought quickly. It was obvious from what little she had picked up, that they discussed Redina. She sifted through the information she had gathered from Stormwind in her time in the temple even as she answered him. "I owe chia a life debt.."
The paladin began to answer, but Chia interupted him. She spoke very slowly and cautiously, "What. are. you. doing. here?"
Leahalani was thinking quickly now. "I have come to warn you."
The paladin turned to Chiabela. "You recognize this one?"
Both women ignored him. Their eyes were locked, one with another. "My sources of information tell me that there are templars that would see the one who accompanied you with the huntress dead as heretic." It was truth, expounded upon but truth nonetheless. It was also a weakness Leahalani knew she could exploit. "I spend a great deal of time in the temple.. working against an enemy order.. I happened along this conversation."
The paladin raised his hand to still Leahalani's words. His imperious manner made her wish to reach for her bow. "Shh...wait. Chia. Carefully now. Tell me the Hunter's name."
Leahalani could not believe he had dared to 'shhh' her but held her tongue as it was to her benefit to appear friend.
Chiabella shook her head in confusion, "Why would the Templare's have any interest in him at all?"
The paladin's tone took a gentle edge."Just as before. I can verify this at the top."
Leahalani smiled for her quick thinking had seized on one piece of information and had not only saved her neck but kept her in the conversation. The paladin's next words surprised her greatly.
"Chia...this is part of what I've come to tell you about."
Leahalani stood wide-eyed as the conversation left her completely. Her few words brought forth a pandora of information. The Paladin told Chiabella of an event where Redina had nearly killed off half of the Paladins present. He would have killed them all had some woman named Deimea not been present.
Chiabella became more upset, accusing the same woman of being the cause and of meeting a man in Ironforge in black. She shared that this woman had arranged that Chiabella be killed. Leahalani wondered how Chiabella stood breathing with so many after her head.
As the two talked of matter, Leahalani did not understand, it became clear that Chiabella would be here with this man for some time. A plan formed in her head and she slowly smiled. Leahalani spoke, interupting their conversation. "Milady, I will leave you now. this is not a matter for my ears..." Leahalani bowed with respect.
Chiabella nodded to her. "Be safe and thank you." She bowed in return.
The paladin looked at Leahalani firmly, his gaze boring into her. "Next time, don't hide in the shadows. At your season...they can't protect you."
Leahalani was forced to smile. "Thank you for the warning." She walked out of the garden with purpose. Finding herself a ledge in the sun, where she could watch the entrance of the garden. She thought long and hard. Slowly, the plan cemented. She would not hide in the shadows, she would stand brazenly in the sun as Chia was taken into captivity. |

Leahalani watched the temple garden closely. Meanwhile, she stroked the earring that Keruptis had given her, magically enhanced so that she could communicate. She sent her tentative thoughts out looking for the Ambassador to the Scions, Tehrannis. The widows had been seeking Chiabella as well. At a recent guild meeting, Jett had said she would find Chiabella and hand her over to Keruptis.
Maevrim had also been instrumental in saving Jett's life and a debt was owed. Leahalani decided to capitalize on it. She gave her position and instructions to the Ambassador. After some time, he came back, agreeing to the plan. It was simple really. Leahalani would keep Chiabella in conversation until they could arrive. They would catch them together. Tehrannis would accuse Leahalani of being a traitor and take them both captive. Leahalani gave harsh instructions that he was not to show her preference. She did not want Chiabella to know her part if it went foul.
It had been a good plan. A solid plan. When the paladin had left, Leahalani had met Chiabella on the bridge. Leahalani had sweet talked the woman into meeting with her. They returned to the garden and began to speak of many things. The whole time, Leahalani continued to be warm, concerned and caring. When Tehrannis arrived, with Nelerath in tow, it had not been hard to be surprised. His sudden appearance had startled her.
Tehrannis played his part well. He looked astounded between the two women who had jumped up and backed away.
Leahalani found it hard to find her voice, even though the plan was hers. "Ambassador?"
"You are.." He pointed at Chiabella. "You are Chiabella, are you not?"
Chiabella looked frightened. "Who are you?"
Leahalani looked nervously between the two. Tehrannis manner was so well played that it was not difficult to show concern. For a moment, she wondered if he meant to play her foul. "He is the .. ambassador from the Blackwidows."
Tehrannis eyes bore into Leahalani. "What are you doing with this traitor Leahalani? Your lord would not be pleased."
Leahalani looked over at Chiabella who was breathing hard and biting her lip. "We were talking, nothing more."
"Talking?" Tehrannis tone was accusatory. "You know there is a price on her head. You have betrayed your Lord, Leahalani!"

Those words, even spoken in a ruse, struck deep into Leahalani's heart. She hoped she never heard them leave Keruptis lips. "Ambassador, it was nothing like that. We both chose the same to place,it was a.. coincidence." Leahalani defended weakly. She watched Nelerath, not liking his manner. There was something off in the way he was looking at Chiabella.
"I am supposed to believe this?" The Ambassador looked indignant.
Leahalani nodded. "You have no interest in this debt, this price upon her head."
Tehrannis shook his head no. "I am sorry, but My mistress wishes to give her to Lord Keruptis as a sign of our alliance. You will come willing Chiabella."
Leahalani knew she had to cement her part. "Chia.. run."
Tehrannis grabbed Leahalani. "Get her Nelly!" He ordered firmly. He twisted Leahalani's arm behind her back. When she tried to twist free, he hit her in the back of the head. Leahalani heard nothing more. When Leahalani began to come to again, she opened her eyes to see Nelerath standing over her. When her eyes opened, he smiled and promptly kicked her in the head once more. Leahalani found darkness surrounding her once more.
When she came to again, she was alone. She sat up, her head pounding and put her hand to the back of her head. The lump was the size of an egg. She looked around for the others, something must have gone amiss. She heard a hacking cough and saw Nelarath sitting on the ground near by when Tehrannis came running in. He looked absolutely furious. "What in the name of darkness were you doing?" He demanded of Nelearth.
Nelarath looked over sheepishly. "I am sorry Tehrannis...I have no idea what came over me!"He let out another hacking cough. It seemed rather faked to Leahalani.
"I will heal you." The terse tones of Tehrannis showed his displeasure. Please Nelerath do not give in to any infermity. We must take Chiabella if she returns or I am dead. I think she will come for her friend."
Leahalani realized what must have happened. At some crucial moment, Nelerath had become incapcitated, allowing Chiabella to escape. She thought quickly. 'I also think she will come for me. You must tie me, quickly."
Tehrannis paced before Nelerath. "Why did you let her go? We had her in our grasp, the alliance would have been solidified! What came over you?"
Nelerath looked down at his feet. "I do not know." He muttered. "My body must be weak from nearly dying so much this week."
Tehrannis threw up his hands in exasperation and approached Leahalani. He swiftly tied her as she had directed. "I sent word to Jett and others, they should be here soon." He said quietly. He flashed another angry look at Nelerath.
"She will return for me." Leahalani cautioned. "You must be ready this time. YOu should NOT have failed last time."
It did not take long before Chia once again stood in the doorway. "Leahalani get up."
Leahalani glanced helpless from her bonds to Chiabella. It was not hard to feign fear as great of pain as her head was giving her. "I can not. He tied my ankles." She answered simply.
Tehrannis smiled. "She is going nowhere."
Chiabella's tone was angry and firm. "She is leaving."
It was then that the shadow filled the doorway. For one so slight, the presence of Jettblack was felt by all. That was when, Leahalani was sure her plan had worked. But darkness was just not in the elf's favor. For things erupted into Chaos. Before she knew it, Nelerath's cat sat upon her chest. Tehrannis was carting off Chiabella to some boat and Jett's command. Then a rescue party, begged for by Chiabella before she returned, arrived. The tension of the coming moments was felt by all, but none more so then Leahalani who sat bound with a tiger at her chest. She could not hear and could barely see the events unfolding. Nelerath returned and the look in his eye, made her swallow hard. He picked her up and carried her outside. Thinking she would be used once more to persuade Chiabella, she did not resist. It was with great shock she suddenly found herself underwater. Nelerath drug her to the shore and then cut her bonds. "Run far and you will be safe." He whispered in her ear. Leahalani did not need to be told twice. But had he saved her as he had Chiabella, or had he betrayed her?

Hunter's Perspective | (Link)

Leahalani stood stunned. Chiabella sat on the edge of a bridge, staring out at the water. She was in conversation with one that Leahalani had not seen before. She did not look to be of exceptional skill or strength. Leahalani cast about for a place to watch. The best was a tree across the river. Pulling her cloak about her, Leahalani crossed the bridge behind the two. She placed herself behind the tree.
She had been told by Vandestrine that their orders were now to kill Chiabella. Last eve, the night elf had made three special arrows for the task. She had even, last eve, had a chance to use them. But Vandestrine had attracted to much attention and to many people were present who saw Leahalani train her bow on Chiabella. To cover, Leahalani had spent the rest of the encounter with her bow pointed at the Paladin, Jiaan that had accosted her earlier in the day. It had been a tense situation.
But now, Chiabella was all but alone and in plain view. Leahalani swiftly strung her bow. She pulled the three coated arrows out of her quiver and carefully unwrapped the coated tips. She tossed the scraps of leather into the canal so that they could not later cause her difficulites. Then, she carefully placed all three arrows, as she had perfected of late, into perfect alignment to take the shot. She had two choices, she could shoot both women, a twist of one finger would move an arrow slightly off to the other target. Or, she could fire all three at Chiabella.
Leahalani carefully stuck her backpack and quiver high up in the foilage of the tree so it would not distract her or wear her down. She carefully removed her cloak and did the same so Colvin could not distract her. Then, moving slightly and using the tree to steady her hand, she sighted in on Chiabella. Her heart raced sligthly. What if the order had change? She relaxed her grip and made a call out through the guild stone to her fellow guildmates.
"Does the order, to kill Chiabella remain." She called in thought urgently.
The answers were a cascade of whispers that she could barely seperate but two stood out. First, Ivyssa begged her to stay her hand till confirmation could be obtained from Keruptis. He was not amongst the whispers. The second, was Vandestrine. This had been the one to relay the order in the first place. Ivyssa's actions of late, her manner and her demeanor, gave question to her loyalty. While Leahalani did not doubt, she was loyal to the great dark overall. She did not believe that oath superceded Ivyssa's love for Chiabella. Leahalani closed off her mind from the whispers. She would take the shot.
She sighted in once more. A tear, fell slowly down her cheek. Chiabella was her friend as well. The poison on the arrows would swiflty pull her into the darkness of unconsciousness if the shots did not kill her. Another tear fell as well. Leahalani knew she should not take a heart shot. A great sense of peace washed over her. It was not meant to be. She would take the shot as ordered, but would leave it in darkness' hands if this was to be Chia's day of death.

She steadied her hand once more. For a moment, she thought that Chiabella's eyes met hers. Before the demon within could warn the girl or sway Leahalani's choice, the dark elf let all three arrows fly. They flew up the canal and landed with three solid thuds of wood into flesh.
Leahalani did not wait to see her fall. The night elf swiftly dove into the canal, her bow she slung about her neck. She swam deep down to the bottom and up the canal. She knew a place were she could emerge safely. She was sure that even the young friend had not seen from where the shots had flown. A few minutes later, she emerged from the the water, saddened but sure of what she had done.
She shook the water from her hair and then snuck into a store to buy cloth and string. She carefully tended her weapon, being sure to dry every inch of the beatiful carved longbow. She then made sure the string was of proper fit and lovelingly, restrung the bow three or four times. Once she was sure her weapon was undamaged, she headed back into the trade district. From there, she checked to see if they still were on the bridge. It was a very long time before the elf that had been conversing with Chiabella, had enough help to move her. The most concerning, was that Ivyssa was one at her side.
Leahalani sighed. Ivyssa knew she had taken that shot. If Chiabella survived, Chiabella would know as well. If she had not seen her before the arrows flew, then Ivyssa would tell her. The night elf accepted in that moment, her time of free movement within Stormwind was over. It was a matter of time before the elves, Dareca or Elvorn would learn of the matter.
Leahalani whispered a silent prayer for protection to the great dark. She knew, she had chosen as darkness dictated at the time she made the call. Yet now, waiting for them to move so she could remove her belongings, a thousand doubts haunted her. Finally, they moved and Leahalani retrieved her pack and cloak.
It was then, she had felt Keruptis presence. She smiled, and even felt his satisfaction at what had occured. But what happened next, changed all things. "Do you have an antidote?" The crisp demand came crashing in around her.
Leahalani had purchased an antidote for the poison at the same time as the poison in case she accidently pricked herself or exposed herself to it whilst treating the arrows. "Yes?" She returned the thought.
Ordered to take the antidote and meet him at the Slaughtered Lamb, Leahalani moved swiftly. Why would her Lord order them to bring about Chiabella's death and then want an instrument to save her? It did not make sense. Leahalani moved swiftly through the city. It was not her place to question the one who had the greatest connection to the will of the great dark. She was but a weapon, a tool to bring about a dark and wonderful day. It was that, she must keep her mind on. She caressed the stone against her side lovingly. Yes, it was that purpose.. that alone that drove her course. She could not forget it.
